Your information

Privacy policy

Last updated: 26 September 2026

This policy covers lostworlds.app and the LostWorlds Android game, also known as Worlds or Brits PvE Worlds. It explains what the LostWorlds development team processes, why, and how to contact us.

Privacy questions or deletion requests: [email protected]

Information we process

The installation ID is a pseudonymous identifier, not your name or an advertising ID. It lets us connect events from the same installation; it does not make those events completely anonymous. Our own analytics never read the advertising ID. They only record which ad placement you chose (free gems or revive) and whether the video finished. The game does not request contacts, precise GPS location or payment-card details.

Why we use information

We use this information to operate and secure the website and game, understand which features players use, improve game balance and usability, diagnose crashes and performance problems, and respond to support and privacy requests. We do not use these analytics to serve personalised advertising or sell player information.

Optional rewarded videos help fund the free game. Google uses the information described above to deliver the ad you asked for, measure it, prevent fraud and, only where you have agreed, personalise ads.

Where UK or European data-protection law applies, we rely on your consent for game analytics and diagnostics, and for personalised ads, given in the game and withdrawable at any time. For the website and for responding to your requests, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating, protecting and improving the service, where those interests are not overridden by your rights. We may also process information to meet legal obligations.

Service providers and sharing

We use DigitalOcean for server hosting, Cloudflare for website delivery and protection, and ClickHouse Cloud to store and analyse gameplay events. Authorised members of the development team use analytics dashboards to investigate gameplay and technical issues. Email providers process correspondence you send us.

Google Play handles app distribution and its own platform diagnostics, account information and any store payments. The game does not receive your payment-card details. Google AdMob provides the optional rewarded video ads and Google's consent message. Google's services, including AdMob, are covered by Google's privacy policy; see also how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Providers may process information outside your country. Applicable data-protection requirements and provider contractual protections apply to these transfers. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect the service or other people.

Storage and retention

We retain information for the purposes described above, considering whether it is still needed to investigate a fault, understand changes in gameplay over time, resolve a support request, maintain security or meet a legal obligation. There is currently no single automatic deletion period for all analytics records. You can delete your game analytics yourself at any time (see below) or contact us to request deletion of information we can associate with you.

Local saves remain on your device until you clear the app's data or remove it, subject to your device's backup settings. Clearing local data does not automatically erase analytics already sent to our servers. We use HTTPS for website and production analytics traffic and restrict access to the server-side tools; no system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

In the game: open Menu > Privacy to turn gameplay statistics on or off, see your analytics ID, and tap Delete my data. Deleting sends a single request containing only your analytics ID; our servers then erase the gameplay records stored for that ID within minutes, keeping only a record that the request was carried out. Turning statistics off stops collection immediately and discards anything not yet sent. Your game progress is stored on your device and is not affected.

Ads: rewarded videos only play when you tap to watch one. In the UK, European Economic Area and Switzerland you can change your ad consent at any time in Menu > Privacy > Ad privacy options. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Settings > Privacy > Ads (or Settings > Google > Ads).

Contact [email protected] to ask about your information or request access, correction or deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing and receive a portable copy of your information. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it.

We may ask for enough information to verify a request and locate the relevant records. Because gameplay uses a random installation ID rather than an email account, we may need additional details to identify your installation. Do not send passwords or payment-card details. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office.

Younger players

Please follow the age guidance shown on the game's store listing. If you are a parent or guardian with concerns about information relating to a child, contact us so we can investigate and address the request.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the service or its data practices change and revise the date above. Material changes may also be announced in the game or on the website.
